What is F1 Fan Voice?

F1 Fan Voice is an online fan community that allows fans to have their say on key issues in the sport and help shape the future of Formula 1. As a member of F1 Fan Voice, you have the opportunity to take part in surveys, polls, and other research for Formula 1, whilst also sharing your views with other F1 fans via forums and blogs.

How do I earn points?

You earn points each time you take part in activities on the portal, such as completing a Quick Poll or Survey, or engage with a forum or blog. You will also receive points when others like your blogs or forum posts. Please click the 'Your Points & Status Explained' link in the footer for all the details on how to earn points.

What do points mean?

Points equate to entries into our monthly prize draw. 1 point = 1 prize draw entry, so the more points you have accumulated, the more chance you have of winning! Please note, in order to be eligible for the monthly prize draw, you must have completed the 2025 F1 Fan Survey. Any user who has not completed this survey will not get entered into the monthly prize draw.

What can I win?

Each month, F1 Fan Voice will give away a prize via a monthly prize draw for fans who have accumulated point during that period. Please click the 'Monthly Prize Draw Terms and Conditions' link in the footer for full prize draw terms and conditions.

How will I know if I’ve won?

We will conduct the prize draw on the first working day of each month, and contact the winner within 10 working days. The winner will be contacted directly via an F1 Fan Voice message.

My points total doesn’t seem to have updated.

Points totals will update overnight, so don’t panic! Log back in tomorrow to check. When you log out of F1 Fan Voice at the end of the session, it will tell you how many points you’ve earned during that session.

My points have disappeared!

At the end of each month, your points will reset to zero ready for the new monthly prize draw.

What is my ‘community status’?

Your community status tells you how active you are on F1 Fan Voice versus other members. Based on your points total relative to other members, you will be put into a status band: Racing Legend, World Champion, Race Winner, Podium Finisher, Point Scorer or Race Finisher. This takes into account your activity levels across the last 3 months, and also that of the other members. Your community status can fall if your activity levels drop, or, if the activity levels of other members increases above that of yours. You will be able to see your current community status next to any forum or blog comments you leave on F1 Fan Voice or alternatively, you can check your status on your public profile. Read more about how the community status works via the 'About F1 Fan Voice' link in the footer.

How does the end of year prize draw work if my points are erased every month?

Although your points total is refreshed each month, the end of year prize draw competition is based upon your annual points total which remain visible to the site administrators.

My friend got invited to take part in a survey or poll but I didn’t. Why?

We do our best to target our activities at the most relevant groups within the community, so not everyone will always receive every poll or survey. We do our best to offer everyone the same number of opportunities to earn points, though.

What are the rules on posting on F1 Fan Voice?

This portal follows the rules of a general "etiquette", meaning that rules of behaviour are to be followed by its members. For a full description of what is and is not acceptable, you can read the terms of use, via the link in the footer at the bottom of the page.

I can’t see a forum thread any more – where’s it gone?

We archive old forum threads that aren’t relevant any more, and forum threads where people haven’t replied for a while. We do this to make it easier to find the most active forum threads quickly and easily. When we archive forum threads, the team at F1 can still see what people have been talking about, and don’t worry, your points for likes don’t get removed, either.

How do I use Peer to Peer Messaging

You can opt in and out of private messages. To turn these on, click in to the 'Your Profile' section in the top right hand corner of your screen. You will see a new box below the 'My Profile' box which says 'Private Messages'. This gives you a button to 'accept private messages'. You can then turn private messages on or off as you wish. The default will be not to accept private messages until this is changed. When you click onto the profile of another user, next to the public 'Post Message' button you will be able to see a link which will either say 'send private message to [username]' or '[username] does not accept private messages' depending on what the receiving user has chosen. A user can message another user privately if they themselves do not have private messages turned on, but the receiving user will not be able to reply. To view/ send your private messages you can click into the 'Messages' link in the top right of your screen. Once opted in, this will include any private messages you have received from other users as well as any from the administrators. Please be aware that moderators have no access to your private messages to other users. If anyone has any issues you will need to provide a screenshot to the administrators via the platform.

How do I report inappropriate or offensive content?

In the forum and blogs, you will see an ‘exclamation mark icon’ on all posts, if you feel that a post is inappropriate or offensive, please use this icon to ‘report abuse’. When reporting the abuse, you will be asked to provide an explanation detailing your objection to the post. Please provide as much detail as possible. The F1 Fan Voice moderators will then investigate your objection.
